Do you ship to PO boxes / Mail boxes.
Unfortunately we cannot deliver to PO boxes / Mail boxes as your order will require a signature on delivery. We can ship to any other address you wish the delivery made to.

I'd like to pay by debit card, but the payment link only goes to PayPal. How do I go about paying by debit card?
Payments are made through the PayPal gateway using your own PayPal account or credit / debit card.
The PayPal Gateway accepts all major credit and debit cards (AMEX, VISA, VISA/Debit, MasterCard, Maestro etc.) even if you do not hold a PayPal account yourself, by simply logging in as a guest.

Which side of the stone is 1000 and which is 6000, I just can't tell.
Looking at the picture of this combination stone, the top side (darker colour) is the 1000 side, the bottom (lighter side) is the 6000 grit. With Japanese waterstones the darker shades are usually the "rougher" grits ie. 800, 1200 grits and the lighter colours are the "finer" grits ie. 6000, 10,000 grits.
I know they say with the King 1200 Grit stone you should soak it 10-15 minutes before using is that I same time for all grits or are they each a different time for soaking.
In general you would soak all stones for around 10 minutes or so, or until bubbling stops. For stones that are mounted on a wooden base, the stone should not be soaked but instead water should be poured on it before use and also whilst using it if the surface starts to dry out.
How long does delivery take?

How do I change my password?
Click on “My account” and sign in with your current password. If you cannot remember your password go to “Forgotten your password? Click Here”. Enter your email address and your password will be sent to you.
Once you have signed in click on "My Account & Orders" next to the view cart and checkout tabs shown at the top of any page. You will then see "Your password" and the message "If you would like to update your password please enter a new one below:" Enter your new password, confirm, and update.

An item is out of stock - when will it be restocked?
We have a stock notification feature to alert you when new stock is added for a particular item. Wherever you see the "Out of Stock" message, click on the " Notify" button, enter your name and email address, and you will be notified as soon as the item is re-stocked.

Will proof of age be required for my purchases.
Knives, or anything with a blade, will not be sold to anyone under the age of 18. These items are clearly marked with an 18 sign and are restricted.
We will check that all customers buying these items are aged 18 years or over.
One of our sources of information is the UK Register of Electors.
Pre-paid credit cards will not be accepted for restricted items unless proof of age can be verified.
If we are unable to satisfactorily confirm your age you will be contacted and asked to send to us proof of your age by post or email.
This confirmation may be in the form of a copy of your passport or driving licence and must be the address that the order is being dispatched to.
We will then release your order and you will not need to provide this information again as it will be held on file.
This information is kept on file so that it may be produced to Licencing Agencies to confirm that we actively seek age confirmation and are reputable dealers.

I live outside the UK, How much is it in my local currency?
We will charge you in Pounds Sterling (GBP) and your card company / PayPal will convert this to your local currency.
You may like to look on a currency conversion website for a rough conversion.
